I trained with the British Psychotherapy Foundation, a leading psychoanalytic training institution in the UK, accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council.

The BPC is the most senior organisation registering psychoanalytic psychotherapists in the UK.

I am also a Visiting Professor of English at the University of Sussex (where I worked for three decades before training) and a Founding Scholar of the British Psychoanalytic Council. I continue to research and publish in the fields of psychoanalysis and culture, with particular interests in developing our understanding of connections between private and public lives.
